Swope Art Museum
This 1901 Renaissance-revival building with Art Deco interior, features 19th and 20th century American paintings, sculptures and works on paper. This historic building has recently been completely renovated and restored.

Terre Haute Brewing Company Museum
The Brewery was run by Mathias Mogger from 1837to 1858. He laid the groundwork for what become the Terre Haute Brewery Company, the 7th largest brewing company in the United States in 1892. Restoration has been going on since 1990 and is now the home of the Terre Haute Brewing Company and Champagne Velvet Beer.

Vigo County Public Library
The main library and it's four branches offer all kind of fun and educational programs for kids and their families. Computer work stations with fun and educational software are available as well as the traditional books, newspapers, ect.

Children's Science & Technology Museum
This museum is always offering new and exciting things for it's patrons. Permanent hand-ons exhibits and traveling displays make each visit a new experience.
C.A.N.D.L.E.S. Holocaust Museum and Education Center
This unique museum was founded by Eva Mozes Kor, a survivor of the twin experiements performed by Josef Mengele at the Auschwitz concentration camp during WWII. Eva speaks of the lessons she has learned, including "Never give up; work to remove prejudice; and forgive your worst enemy -- it will heal your soul and set you free".

Collett Park
Collet Park is one of many excellent parks in Terre Haute. There are 21 acres located in the midst of a residential area. It is listed in the National Historic Landmarks.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
RHIT was founded September 10, 1874 and has an enrollment (Fall 2000) of 1,751. The Student-to-Faculty ratio is 11-1. Every year US News rates colleges and RHIT was voted first, four years in a row as of 2003. RHIT ia an exceptional engineering college.
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College
SMWC is a private institution for women. It was founded October 22, 1840 by the Sisters of Providence. The enrollment (Fall 2001) is 1,502 and the Student-to-Faculty ratio is 12-1. The two most popular First-Year Majors are Education and Equine Studies,

Union Hospital

Union Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital. It is one of two large hospitals and is located in the northern area of Terre Haute.

Indiana State University
ISU was founded December 20, 1865. The enrollment (Fall 2001) was 11,321 and the Student-to-Faculty ratio is 18-1. The areas of study include Arts & Sciences; Schools of Business; Education; Health and Human Performance; Nursing Technology and Graduate Studies.

Community Theatre of Terre Haute
Weldin Talley Memorial Playhouse is the second-oldest amateur theatre in the state. It was established in 1925-1926.

Vigo County Court House
The French-New Baroque Vigo County Courthouse structure was completed in 1888 and houses many of the daily operations of the county. In addition to the beautiful architecture of the courthouse, one can see three monuments; the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, the Vietnam Memorial and the Korean War Memorial which grace the lawn of the couthouse.

Lake Sullivan
Lake Sullivan (Sullivan County) was created for the purpose of flood control and conservation under Public Law 566. The 461-acre lake provides excellent water recreation opportunities. The adjacent 460-acre park provides a camping environment to enhance the use of the lake and offers alternative recreational activities.

Sullivan County Courthouse
This is the fourth and present Sullivan County Courthouse built on the town square in Sullivan. The town square is very reminiscent of an early 20th Century small town. Sullivan gives one a very comfortable feeling of peace and quiet.
Forest Park Memorial
This Memorial (Clay County) is at the entrance of Forest Park. This park features an Olympic-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, a playground, picnic tables, baseball and softball fields, and outdoor summer concerts featuring the Brazil Concert Band. A challenging 18-hole golf course adjoins Forest Park on the east.

Four Seasons Fountain
The Four Seasons Fountain is representative of the town of Clinton. Clinton is known as "Little Italy". A large part of Italian immigrants gathered here in the early 1900's to work in coal mines. Now Clinton is famous for it's Little Italy Festival which occurs on Labor Day weekend. The Festival includes such things as grape stomping, playing Bocce Ball, a spaghetti eating contest, gondolas and anything Italian.

Eli Lilly Company
Vermillion County's largest employer is one of the largest drug companies in the world, Eli Lilly Company. It is located north of Clinton on US Highway 63. Eli Lilly is one of Vermillion County's largest economic assets. This company founded the Eli Lilly Foundation which is a philanthropic foundation helping numerous endeavors.

Mansfield Roller Mill
The Mansfield Roller Mill (Parke County) contains the original 1880's roller process equipment on the upper floors. Today, the mill grinds corn meal and flour using an 85 horsepower Rodney Hunt turbine installed in 1886. A second 65 horsepower Lefel turbine was installed in 1892.
Mansfield's unique shop and state historic site are open weekends in April through Oc
tober. Villlage events include the Mushroom Festival the third Saturday in June, Gospel Sing the third Saturday in July, Parks County Covered Bridge Festival in October and an Old Fashioned Christmas the first weekend in December.
